This is Veronica, the other main character in the film. She has always been passionate about all aspects of spirituality thus this role was a shoe in. Not only is she a hippie in real life but also in the film, it only seemed right to give her the same name.
This is Manuela, the director, editor and main character of the film. She like the main character have been going through a similar metamorphosis but not at the same degree. As a result, her name in the film is Ali.
ABOUT THE FILM
The film Awakening, is the story of a girl who feels trapped in her own religion. She then tries to explore her spiritually with her close friend veronica. This film was inspired by a close friend of mine who has this trapped feeling, yet can't tell her family because they are all so devoted. I put a twist on it and tried to make it humorous.
